Schools and groups:
We are always very pleased to welcome all groups onto the farm, as this is the sole reason we exist.
We are able to cater for a variety of different groups including schools, nursery’s, young farmers, and many more! We are also qualified with CEVAS (the Countryside Educational Visits Accreditation Scheme).
We have an option to suit every group wanting a hands-on experience with the animals. May you choose a structured visit to the farm, a non-structured visit or for the animals to come to you (please see mobile farm packages). However, we feel the group really benefits when they come to the farm to see, feel and hear first-hand the daily goings on a working dales farm.
We allow children to get very close to the animals and interact in lots of different ways such as bottle feeding, hatching chicks, and making butter with other activities. (Activities may vary depending on the time of year).
Health and safety & risk assessments for your visit to us
As with a visit anywhere with a group, there is always certain risks. We aim to minimise these risks as much as possible so that your experience is as fun and educational as possible for all involved. This is why we would like to make you fully aware and how to reduce them.
Our full risk assessment is available on request.
For the comfort of everyone taking part in the visit, please make sure your group all wear sensible clothing and footwear to dress appropriate to the ever-changing weather conditions that come with being in a remote area. Our tips for health and safety on farms are linked here
